Make Sure You Login To Your Account
Our client service staff has spent the past few months calling all of our customers trying to get our guys to utilize their online account features at our website. It has been a tedious task of what seems to be cat and mouse trying to get in touch with everyone but after 3 months we’ve talked to just about 95% of our customer base and the results have been great.
Although we have had to drag even the hardest old school guys kicking and screaming to the 21st century most everyone has now logged in to their account at least once. The reason we are encouraging all of our clients to login and manage their account is because we have found that those that actively use their accounts and interact with us on the leads that we provide are the most successful with our service.
Why its important to use your online account? There are many features that are of use to our customers like the ability to report a bad lead or place their account on hold, but the biggest thing is that we know that we are only open 5 days per week from 8 to 5. While we do our best to deal with customer needs over the phone the quickest way to deal with most customer’s requests is to manage these features themselves online 24 hours a day. This is perfect for most of you as we know that our clients are mostly 5 to 8 workers, waking up early and going out in the filed during the day getting off usually after our offices close for the day.
If you have an account with us, you also have an online account and if you have never logged do so now by clicking here and see all the great features that you can manage.

Why General Contractors Request Subs From Construction Pipeline
Often at we are asked why a general contractor would use our service and request subs from us. This question is usually followed by a statement like, “they are just price shopping” or “he must not be that good of a general if he needs new subs”.
All though these points are valid questions that one may have, the fact of the matter is that there are many legitimate reasons that generals use our service. While most generals, probably 90%, have their regular pool of subs that they use on a regular basis most generals deal with multiple tradesmen at any given time. This leaves them wide open, especially in an economy like we see today, to projects where they are lacking a tradesman or two in order to complete a job.
Whether the general’s sub went out of business, downsized, can’t travel to a specific location, work just not up to par any more, or prices are just out of swing with the reality of current economic demands; these GC’s have come to rely on our team here to find them the right guys to bid their projects.
So the next time we send you a lead take it for what its worth and pick up the phone and call these guys! That phone call can mean the difference between building a solid relationship with a general that has a need for you and never having an opportunity to bid a job at all.
No Complaints! New Website Has Received Great Reviews Accross The Construction Industry!
Launch of the new website design has been a huge success. To date we have had almost 3,000 page views. This is a huge jump in website traffic for us. The news is not just for all of us at Construction Pipeline, but is also really exciting news for our customers that will now be able to manage most of their account information and criteria themselves via the website. We have much more work scheduled for the coming months, with plans to include additional modules that focus squarely on customer support via the website directly.
All of the following updates will only add to the only lead service around that truly takes an interest in our customers well-being. Our staff understand that each and every customer, whether general or sub contractor, is a valuable asset to our success. This new site and the coming updates are really for all of the companies that have grown with us over the years. Your success with our company has certainly been the back bone to the basics of what we do, providing old school word of mouth referrals. Now we are able to give back to all of you, as well as all of the new companies that are just now getting on board, a new and enhanced service. The running joke with some of our older accounts concerning all of our changes over the last few years is that we have become “The Rice Report on steroids”.
Ok, maybe we are not steroids, however, we are getting bigger and better by the moment. So login to your account now and see all the cool new features that we have added just for you. Make sure that you periodically check your account over the coming weeks and months as we have even more super cool features coming very soon.

Don’t Be this Guy!!!
Below is an email dialogue from one of the General Contractor’s that we work with. We have only blocked out personal contact information, but we wanted to post this so our generals and subs are aware that we do take our feedback serious. After receiving this information we administratively canceled this subs account. So please, Don’t Be This Guy!

The contractor is Salvador from Primo Construction.
He initially called me and talked himself up to where I was actually a bit impressed and was looking forward to meeting him, after that conversation I couldn’t get him on the phone. Once I did, I finally asked him to meet us for a bid. He was two hours late without even calling. I called him a bunch of times and left messages while my husband and I are waiting in a vacant property just for him and an hour away from our home/office. I finally called again and he picked up an hour after our meeting time and said he is on his way. I asked why he didn’t call to tell me and he mumbled. I asked how far is he and he said he is still at home in the valley. I was so mad. He asked that we wait for him and he would be there in 30 minutes. We waited, believe it or not. he got there an hour later, not 30 minutes of course. He said something about traffic. He was not presentable, rude, and didn’t even apologize for being 2 hours late let alone thank us for waiting. My husband and I made a point to tell him it was rude he was late etc and he still didn’t apologize just said something about traffic again. He got there in a small car (old 2 door) and we asked him how he is going to inspect the roof without a ladder. He said he will “just climb”. That was it at that point. We didn’t even want to deal with him. He was unbelievable. We were so frustrated and pissed off I cannot even describe it to you, and we are the most kick back down to earth friendly people. So we told him he didn’t need us there to get on the roof and we are leaving and he can call us with a bid. we weren’t going to wait anymore. So he went ahead and climbed somehow. I don’t want to know how considering it was a liability issue. he didn’t even call us with a bid. My husband wanted to make sure nothing happened so he called him only to find out he already left and was “just going to call” us. Yeah right. He told us what needed to be done on the roof and that he will call us back with a bid. guess what? He never did……….. surprised? We sure weren’t!!!

Don’t Wait For A Call – Be Pro-Active!
Ok, this is business-to-business 101. One of the complaints that we often hear is that a general said to the sub: “send me over your information and I’ll get back with you”.
So the sub sends over the information and just sits and waits…waits…and waits.
A couple of weeks later we get a call from the sub and he complains about the general just wasn’t interested in actually taking a bid. The sub did what the general wanted and nothing happened. This is actually just a miscalculated error on the subs part most of the time. You have to remember that there are two other subs that get the same information as you for this general. These guys aren’t waiting for a call back. Imagine the huge advantage that they get when they get their pre-qual pack over to the general and call him back a week later to make arrangements to get the plans or schedule a walk-thru on a job.
If you want to be successful with the leads that we are sending you have to make a commitment to taking a pro-active approach. Don’t wait for a call, because to be quite frank they usually won’t happen. The general used our service so he didn’t have to make calls. He wanted calls from the trades that he requested, and that is how our service is designed to work.
As mentioned a thousand times to every sub that we do business with, we back these leads 100%. We understand that it often takes time to work the lead. There is a sales process to all of this, but as long as you are being pro-active and the gc on the lead we sent you is engaging you to bid the job, then keep working it. If you do this you will not only bid lots of great jobs but also land them too.
